High branch saw
If you have a pole buy this. I use my roof rake pole and it's perfect. A little wobbly but don't need two poles. Let the saw do the work. Don't push down or you'll bend your pole.

Descent quality, gets the job done when used right
Put this tool to use today. I attached it to my 20ft extendable pole to do some branch removal from a tree in my yard. I see in other reviews that some people have had difficulty with the clipper mechanism bending. I can see how that happens, and suggest that the clipping mechanism really isn't designed for anything much over 3/4 inches in diameter. Since it comes with a nice saw blade, I don't feel the need to use it on anything larger. I clipped off about 20 smaller branches today, no problem. I did notice that the mechanism for clipping was a bit stiff, so I added some WD40 and it moved significantly easier (definitely recommend everyone do the same). One other problem with the clipper, the included rope is only about 6 feet long. I definitely tied another piece of rope to it to reach the higher branches (worked perfectly). I do like that they used a pully system for the rope to give the clipper some leverage, good design and functionality. The saw blade is definitely sharp. It's not the easiest to work with at the end of a 20' pole, but with some patience you can definitely get the job done. I successfully cut through a 2" branch that was about 25' off the ground. Suggest wearing good thick gloves for safety when using this tool and make sure the single bolt and wing nut securing the blade is really tight. It can come loose during operation so it needs to be monitored. It is nice that the blade can easily be removed when you only are using the clipper. All-in-all I'm pleased. It doesn't strike me as the greatest tool, but at this price I can't complain, got the job done.

Good value for price. Just remember, you supply the pole.
Because it has no pole (you are buying a "replacement" cutting mechanism) it is compact and inexpensive to ship. This translates into low cost. Cutting mech is excellent. Saw is thin, but I do not find it excessively flexible. (ie, "Wobbly"). So, over all, excellent product.

came broken
when i received this product you could already tell it wasn’t going to be good. bag was beat up terribly i opened the bag and there was a small layer of another bag on it and that one was in even worse condition. on the actual product the whole plastic thing on it was pretty much gone and broken but my main concern was the actual string… ripped. it was slightly ripped which means the lifetime of that wouldn’t last as long as i was hoping for.

Saw blade pulls down on branch
The blade is not in line with the pole once installed, and curves downward too much. This angle causes the branch to be pulled down rather than allowing the saw blade to cut with a push/pull motion. I will keep it anyway because the cutter for small branches seems to work OK, (however the saw is unusable).

Sharp new tool for stubborn vines and limbs
It worked well. It is sharp. It looks clean and bright. My husband mentioned that it was great. He doesn’t do reviews. I don’t prune trees or huge ivy vines.

Cheap and flimsy
The saw blade is so thin it is completely unusable. It just bends and catches. I could not cut a single branch. The snipper part works fairly well. The cord on the snipper is thin and cheap. It is also so short that couldn't use it effectively on my pole. It would be easy to replace the cord with a longer one, but not worth it for me. I bought this as a replacement because the blade on my old one was badly bent. But it is still better than this thing. It is going straight into the garbage.
