Q: Can this be used with hot water?

That's a first for me, I have never heard of hot water being used. I would be inclined to say no especially if your using it for a fish pond.

Q: will it work with a bio filter

Mine works fine with a japanese filter mat.otherwise I have no idea.

Q: I bought the 1200 version but now need to replace a broken impeller. What part do I need - and are there 3rd party alternatives?
