No, it's literally just peanuts. It's a great natural peanut butter.

Q: Has anyone detected or tasted any mouldy or rancid or fermented or alcoholic smell or taste to this peanut butter, in any way at any stage?

Absolutely NOT ! Not EVER or with any Biona product. You do get a good arm exercise stirring in the natural oil and it does smell a quit a bit different from all the 'run of the mill' so called Peanut Butter brands.Most if not all of the commercial Brands have added all sorts even sugar ! Plus contain and hydrogenated oils so they are always the same consistency throughout their shelf life ! The BBE date of any I have had, is always long; this last time it is March 2019. That I would consider the norm. I haven't tried the Crunchy yet; they seem to alternate between being eligible for free delivery and not being, so I'll try that next time it is. I hope this has been a wee bit helpful Mr P. Judy S
