I held my breath when opening this ironing board, as it comes at a heck of a price. However, I’m pleased to report that it is probably worth the money. It is very sturdy, the wheels work well, and it doesn’t wobble. I was apprehensive as other reviews mentioned disappointment because of wobbling, but having ordered, and returned, two other (slightly less pricey) boards, I thought I would take the chance and take a look at this one. It does not disappoint. The only slight criticism is that I would prefer a thicker pad on the board, but that is easily rectified. Ironing is not my favourite pastime but this board will make it much more bearable.

Looks great, I iron a lot so treated myself, unfortunately it has exactly the same problem that all other ironing boards have in that it wobbles, after much investigation it's caused by the metal rods settling unevenly when you adjust the lever upon opening the board, this can be rectified by putting the board on it's back and adjusting the metal rods as they slide through the slots, however this is annoying having to do every time, some people can probably cope with a bit of a wobble but it bugs me. I would have thought that as this ironing board was expensive then the mechanism would be improved, but it's exactly the same system for opening as the minky , addis etc. Good points are the slide out iron holder, it's great for steam irons and it makes the board a little shorter when it's folded in so it fits in the under stairs cupboard a bit better, the wheels are a nice touch, would be great for those with less mobility. I like the overall style, matt legs, and chunky design, looks almost like a piece of gym equipment. As all ironing boards have this issue, I won't be sending it back because otherwise the good points make the board satisfactory but that is all, taking into account the high price, I feel that 3 stars is fair to generous.

At first I couldn't justify spending so much on an ironing board, but because of the money back return Amazon offer, I thought I'd see what it was like.This is an exceptional ironing board. Fantastic width with a taught cushioned top, totally sturdy and durable, an extra wide secure piece for the steam generator iron to sit on and it opens and closes easily, it also goes much higher than your normal ironing board so you can stand straight without bending over and for a tall lady like myself, makes ironing a lot easier. Definitely the kind of ironing board that would last a life time and would be a one off purchase for anybody.

Super big sturdy board, just perfect for the laundry from my holiday let as I can do a king size quilt cover in 2 easy halves. It’s saving so much time, I wish I’d bought it sooner.

Worked well for a few times then noticed that the height adjustment mechanism began to slip. I thought this was because I hadn't secured it correctly but on the last occasion it collapsed completely onto my wife's knees and steam generator fell on floor. On inspection it appears the slots which are used to hold the mechanism in place are very fine and therefore easy for the locking pin to slip out resulting in a slip to the next slot or in my case a full collapse. I have contacted Laurastar to see if this is just a faulty mechanism and still awaiting a reply. In any case the board, as it is, is unusable which means zero stars. I will update once I have received a response.Additional comment. Laurastar have responded and offered to replace the ironing board free of charge. They have offered the Prestige model (next model up from mine) which I hope will prevent a similar problem. This is a very fair outcome but until I can assess the new board my rating remains as is.

I wanted something a bit longer , for large sheets etc . I could not find such and had to settle for this product.

At first inspection this Board seemed to be of good solid build but after 11 Months careful use the board broke.The poorly made metal con rod under the board simply bent out of shape and came away from its seating in the adjustment sliding rail. Happy to say that Amazon sent us a replacement but that was also broken as the board is simply packaged and shipped in very thin Plastic bag..there is no protection at all for the board.Hopefully the 2nd replacement will be ok..if not it will be refund time and look for a better product. For obver £100 this board is simply not worth it...more like £50 tops...Finally got the 3rd Board,again very badly damaged Amazon refunded my postage ans the Money for the Board.Went and got one that actually works from ASDA..no problems so far.
