Authentic chai starts here
We tried black tea from American supermarkets but it wasn't the same. Something about how they process it makes Taj Mahal perfect for a delicious cup of chai. Recipe for 6 cups of tea:4c 2% milk2c water6 tablespoons Taj Mahal tea grounds6 tablespoons sugar4 cardamom pods, cracked open1/2 teaspoon grated gingerCombine and heat on med-highBring to a boil 3 times, you should see a significant color change after the 3rd boilStrain out the grounds, and aerate by pouring from a height into a tea mugEnjoy with biscuits (shortbread-style cookies) or alone!

Tastes great
This Tea tastes wonderful, doesn't take much for full flavor. Definitely has FULL caffeine. Delicious, I plan on buying again but that will be awhile because a little goes a long way.

Tea is delicious and great customer service!
Tea has a wonderful flavor. I drink daily in chai masala. The box was damaged on my recent order, and I asked for a refund which was granted by the seller as this item is non returnable. Will continue to order from this seller in future.

Good everyday cuppa
Despite the wide range of both positive and negative ratings, I find this to be a good everyday cup of tea, provided one makes it properly.First, I use a proper teaspoon measure, because most silverware teaspoons are not accurate. Second, I use the wisdom of ancients (ie my mom) and put one spoon per person plus one for the pot, every time. Third, preheat the pot. Fourth, pour boiling water directly on the leaves. Fifth, do not stir after pouring but let the tea steep unstirred for exactly 5 minutes. Then stir and pour. Works perfectly every time.A word about the flavor: this leaf remains small after boiling instead of expanding into a full size leaf in the pot. I don’t believe that impacts the flavor at all. This was how tea looked in my parental home as well as in most of the English tea shops of my considerable experience. I don’t pretend to be a tea connoisseur, but come from a family of tea drinkers going back several centuries. It’s good quality tea, and that’s all that matters to me.

Bad batch?
Weird green leaves in my packet. This is the FIRST time (in decades) when I have come across green leaves in black fermented tea.I will not return the package. How can I anyway? In any case, I don't think the taste will be affected.Bad quality control?----------------------------Update: The taste seems off too.(Note: I've been drinking Indian chai for more than 60 years and Taj Mahal has been my favored brand for the last 25 years)Time to go for another brand, I guess.Disappointed :(

Delicious
This is the best tea. I don't use as much as the directions say. It was a little strong for me. The flavor and aroma as wonderful. My new favorite tea!

The is best!
Lots of tea vendors have started pricing teas that don't seem justified. This one is the best value.I have been drinking Taj Mahal loose tea by Brook Bond for years. The flavor and fragrance is outstanding. It never disappoints me.
