Thank you for your question. The measurement is taken from the rear of the unit so the total distance shown on screen will be the beam plus the unit.

Q: Does this come with a pouch

Sadly had to return it as my daughter didn’t get on with it. Again can’t remember if it came with a pouch.

Q: Does the distance auto adjust with movement (if you walk with it, does it automatically adjust for example?)
