The S.M.S.L. CD player has provided Fast and flawless CD operation. A great piece of sound equipment. No sound at all in the quiet sections and no detectable distortion at all. So far no skipping or variation in speed although I have used only good CDs in it so far. One substantial improvement would be to include a switch to change between speaker and "aux"/earphones rather than have to plug and unplug the earphones. It is a real pain to have to do that every time I want to change outputs with all those wires in the back - and the plug doesn't go in easy. At least put the "aux"/earphone socket on the front. But, with a switch it couldn't be any better assuming it lasts. It is built very well so probably will. It took a looong time to get. Should be more quickly available.
