It’s ok
The pen will not stay in place. Every time you open it up the pen/marker falls out. One of these days I’m going to end up loosing it all together.

Intriguing Concept that...Works?
Alright. I've thought long and hard about this review and ultimately decided to rate it not based on how much I like or find use in this product, but in how much it actually accomplishes what it sets out to do. Novel, I know. So, we'll start one by one and go through each feature and rate it. Just for context, I've been carrying (and using) this for over a month and feel that I have a solid opinion of it now._____1) Functioning as a WalletIt does hold up to 6 cards (3 on each side), and you could theoretically fold up some bills to stick in as well, or maybe have a couple inside, but that's about it. If you need to hold more than just 6 cards (or card-like objects; I carry my building's keycard in there too), then this is not for you. That being said, it was not intended nor designed to hold cash, and is meant for those "minimalist" style wallets which often can't contain cash. Still, some can, and so I do think this does count against it.The nice part about this bit is that the cards slide in and out so smoothly, it holds them securely, and has the finger access cut-outs on the sides. So in that regard it functions quite well.Overall, we'll rate it 4/5 since it can't reasonably hold cash. Everything else seems to be good about it as a wallet though._____2) Functioning As a (portable) White BoardNow we are into the meat of things. The gimmicky role of this particular wallet is to fill the role nobody expected as a pocket (foldable) whiteboard. It's actually quite successful at this part: it unfolds, snaps/locks into place, and you are left with a perfectly flat writing surface, broken only by the seam in the middle. The custom pen fits in nicely and has a fine enough point that it can write on here without taking up too much space economy. Here, I'd say the only real drawback is that if you lose the pen or it dries out, it's not necessarily simple to replace. Fortunately, the company ships a re-order QR-code in the wallet's packaging. This means you can easily order additional pens.Lastly, the board has _just_ enough lip that when it's closed, the two halves don't rub together resulting in erased work. This is probably something most people would overlook, but it's very thoughtful they included that tiny detail. So, as a portable whiteboard I actually give this full marks: 5/5, with a slight caveat that re-ordering the pens may not be up everyone's alley._____3) Aesthetics, Build-quality, and "Feel"The final category on here is my overall impressions of the object itself: It looks great. The color is nice and solid, and the logo is not too off-putting for me.The wallet is made of a light metal (it says aluminum, and I'm inclined to agree here) and is sturdy and stiff without being heavy or burdensome. That being said, my one note here is that the hinges actually protrude out behind, which can lead to some obnoxious pocket feel at times. However, if you don't normally carry this in a tight pants pocket, you are probably just fine here and not going to notice this feature.Overall here, I'd give it 4/5 since those nubs are pretty annoying, and the non-rigidity means that it doesn't necessarily flex with your person as many other fabric-based "minimalist" wallets would._____The Final Scorewe got a 13/15, giving us somewhere over a 4 out of 5 stars, but maybe not quite enough to round up. However, I do feel that what this brings to the table compared to other slim, minimalist wallets does make up for those last few decimals and I will go ahead and round up to 5 stars.

Is a bit gimmicky
I was hoping to use the white board more, but over time I was finding that it wasn’t as useful. Also, the fear of the dry erase marker going out scared me so I stopped using it as much. The wallet was a nice idea, but I felt like my cards were going to fall with me using it to write with. Overall, I don’t think the price would justify the purchase of this.

Surprisingly functional
This little thing is a bit of a marvel - the whiteboard feature actually works, and it's stable enough to use. I'm not one to immediately trust any of the more open style wallets, but this holds cards pretty securely. It has a sleek, compact design. Really my only issue is that the trade in weight for structural stability seems a bit excessive. Otherwise, great for a purse or bag!
