The Maestro of Biographies
Loved Taraborelli's Michael Jackson biography and loved this one too. No stone unturned and what I love about the way Randy covers the lives of these artists is in a fair, balanced and, yes, journalistic way. It means it's a celebration, critique and investigative documentation that gets us to know more about the person we know and the person we don't.

The best Madonna biography out there
First of all I love the storytelling style of Mr. Taraborrelli. I've read his Michael Jackson bio and it is just amazing how many decades of true research he invested in writing both this and that book. Hat off to you , sir. This book is the updated version of the 2008 book. 10 years past and our favourite singer still has something to show to the world. Unfortunately the story ends shortly before her 60th birthday which is at the time of this review is still to be done. Mr. Taraborrelli gives you a perfect account of Madonna's thoughts , dreams, future plans, trials, marriages, children etc. Perhaps the only thing I miss and probably a lot of Madonna fans too are a little bit of more insight how her hits were made. What were she thinking of when creating those beautiful and provocative lyrics. Who inspired her etc. But probably that would be a different story.... Anyway, I've read a dozen publications about Madonna but trust me this is far better than most of them. Can't wait to see the new updated version of Michael Jackson's bio coming up this autumn. Many thanks for your hard work and sheer talent Mr. Taraborrelli. I'm a fan. Maybe you should update your Cher biography as well that was released in 1992 last time?

The 2018, 60th Birthday Edition
I read Randy’s original version in the early 2000’s and remembered it being the best of the many Madonna Biographies. When I heard he was doing a revised version to coincide with M’s 60th Birthday, I though it was worth revisiting his telling of the Madonna legend. He’s certainly done exhaustive research on his subject, drawing from interviews with her and the many people who’ve played a part in her life and career. A few minor incorrect details will be spotted by the rabid fan (Who’s That Girl premiere 1988?) but on the whole it’s a hugely entertaining and very gossipy recounting of M’s story. Fans of the great lady and fans of well written biographies will enjoy it.

the picture makes you think it is small which it is but also thicker than you'd expect
